Don on the Front Page of the December 23 Issue of STAR (December 21, 1997)
It looks like another nasty tabloid story, but it's not so nasty. Don is said to be in a "love triangle" with 19 year old Jodi Lyn O'Keefe (who plays daughter Cassidy on NASH BRIDGES) and 63 year old San Francisco socialite Denise Hale. Don, Jodi, and Denises' cut-out faces are plastered on the STAR front page (in that "classy" tabloid lay-out style), with Don in the middle.
Inside are photos from an art gallery event attended by the threesome. Denise Hale has been mentioned for some time now in the social columns in the SF newspapers, so there's really no surprise here. Don has been reported in the past to have lavished gifts of diamonds and other expensive gifts to his good friend Hale. It's likely all involved are having an amusing laugh over this pseudo-story. Save your money - just read it in the check-out line. Happy Holidays Don.
NashBITS Are BACK! (December 6, 1997)
NashBITS have been gone for awhile, but now we're back! So send in those NASH sightings of the NB production throughout the Bay area.
Nash's Fabulous Penthouse View All Fake! (December 6, 1997)
To celebrate NashBITS' return we've got an extended report which appeared in the November 30 Sunday SF Chronicle. The article entitled "SF on TV: Why Shows Set Here Can't Get It Right" reveals that the fabulous penthouse view from Nash's apartment is fake! It's all a set. We knew the interior was, but the outside view? Say it ain't so! Surely with all the location shooting, the NB producers can muster some authentic panoramic view of the City.
NASH Is the Most Authentic (December 6, 1997)
This season, there are four primetime shows set in San Francisco (DHARMA AND GREG, PARTY OF FIVE, SUDDENLY SUSAN, and, of course, NASH BRIDGES). Only NASH BRIDGES is shot entirely on location. The other shows are fakes (sets or shot elsewhere) or only make one or two annual trips to San Francisco. Only NASH BRIDGES shoots in the City year-round.
NB Location Manager Peter Rich (December 6, 1997)
Peter Rich reveals that NASH BRIDGES shoots on the streets six out of seven days of production. (Remember that it takes seven days to shoot one episode of NASH BRIDGES).
NASH BRIDGES has been on location at Chinatown, Union Square, Potrero Hill, the Mission, the Presidio, Twins Peaks, Hunters Point, Noe Valley, Bernal Heights, and North Beach. These locations are in SF proper - the NB production also shoots in the surrounding Bay area, especially across the Bay in the city of Oakland.
