The Gang of Four is now complete in this second episode of the new season. The original Gang of Four (Nash, Joe, Harvey, Evan) has now been resurrected (Nash, Joe, Harvey, Antwon). This is aptly demonstrated in the opening crime scene when they all walk side by side, with Antwon (being the newest guy) joining the walk last. Least we forget, there's blow hard Officer Ronnie providing back-up muscle and brutality to complete the Boy's Club.
The Boy's Club is one-sided without a Girl's Club, so now we have outsiders Cassidy and Rachel McCabe. But how long Cassidy lasts remains to be seen. Cassidy is beautiful, and to see her slugged in the face and laying unconscious in an alley is a little hard to bear. Cassidy is like a nasty CHARLIE'S ANGEL, threatening an informant with nipple damage by dragging him via nipple and handcuffs in a car. Cassidy also reverts back to the traditional police woman's role (posing as a prostitute). Rough stuff for Nash's little girl.
Already in the season opener, Cassidy was held hostage, strapped to a bomb (though it was a fake bomb, but we didn't know that). In the second episode, she's injured, slugged in the face. She is shot at by a sniper. Things can only escalate from here. What next - a rape attempt? Cassidy is the ultimate victim, much to Daddy Nash's concern and avenging spirit. Anybody that tries to harm Nash's daughter not only dies, but dies hard. The bomber was shot to death by Nash, and the sniper dies by being garroted with wire. The presence of Cassidy provides grist for the story mill, as the stories now incorporate the potential threat to Cassidy and Nash's paternal over-reaction and revenge. Let's see how this unfolds over the season...
