Evelyn: | Bye bye, big boy. |
Nick: | See you around, Evelyn. Thank you.
Aw, holy hell. I knew this was too good to be true. |
Nash: | Nick, what in the hell is going on? |
Joe: | This place is like a steam room. |
Nick: | Sweetest gig I ever had, son. They're actually paying me to have sex. |
Nash: | Ha ha ha. You're kidding me, right? |
Nick: | They're studying....the sexual habits of the fifty plus generation. Mum's the word. |
Joe: | Uh, Nash Man, they're probably taping him. |
Nick: | What? I never agreed to that. |
Nash: | Aw right, you pseudo-scientific perverts! We're going to need those tapes. |
Nash is driving his father Nick to his mysterious job with San Francisco University. Nick has volunteered to be a human guinea pig in mysterious experiments. Nash asks his daughter Cassidy if she can help out with driving Nick around. Meanwhile a thief sneaks into the twentieth floor of Cassidy's workplace and gags Cassidy. Nash hears this on the cellular phone and rushes to Cassidy. The thief makes off with a 5.2 million dollar necklace, and with Nash in pursuit, the thief jumps off the balcony and parachutes to safety.
The "Spider Dude" thief has pulled off seven other burglaries involving high end expensive jewelry. The owner of the necklace Louis Hornstein demands the necklace's return from Nash. The SIU (Special Investigations Unit) attempts to trace down the highly specialized parachute used by the thief. Also the jewelry fence Leroy Pink is sought after. A street performer named Eddie Green, familiar with extreme sports and base jumping, identifies the parachute as coming from a sports shop owned by Brad Armitage and Kyle Chambers.
Brad and Kyle have caught up with Leroy Pink, whom they feel have ripped them off on the value of the necklace. Brad and Kyle hang Pink upside down and kill him. Kyle is, unfortunately, romantically involved with Cassidy. Kyle tries to warn Cassidy off, but Nash and Evan run into Kyle and Cassidy while investigating the sports shop.
Meanwhile a concerned Stacy (Nash's sister) asks Joe to find out what kind of experiments are being performed on her dad Nick. Joe goes in undercover, only to be drawn into an airline experiment which leaves Joe shaken and queasy. An alarmed Nash breaks in on Nick's experiment. Nick has been paid to have sex, but Nick has been unaware that he has been videotaped. Nash and Joe demand and acquire the incriminating sex tape.
A concerned Nash asks Cassidy not to see Kyle. Cassidy seeks the advice of SIU member Evan Cortez. Evan advises Cassidy to see Stacy (an assistant district attorney).
Brad and Kyle seek another fence - Murray Krow, to sell the necklace. Murray is picked up by the SIU with the necklace. Murray reveals that the necklace came from Brad and Kyle. Nash and company go to arrest Brad and Kyle.
Cassidy goes to Kyle to convince him to turn himself in and testify against Brad. Brad overhears their conversation and pulls a gun on Kyle. Kyle attempts to protect Cassidy. In the struggle, Kyle is fatally shot and Cassidy is slugged across the face. Nash and company arrive to a dying Kyle telling Nash that Brad is at a bank emptying out their stolen jewelry. Nash arrests Brad at the bank.
Nash returns the necklace to the impatient Louis Hornstein, who has just hired private detectives to find the necklace. Cassidy thanks Evan for the advice and care Evan has shown her. Nash convinces Nick to tell daughter Stacy about his sex tape, but it's too late. Stacy sees the tape on Joe's desk and views it before Nick can tell her.
